About Me

Sheep.jpg

Hi my names Mel!

And I’m a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapists, four hard years of study (and some great memories!) at Harper Adams University (Shropshire) went into achieving this and I continue to learn every day through podcasts, events, and videos I watch alongside my work!

So why is this the path I wanted to go down?

I’ve worked in boarding kennels from the age of 15, I have seen all shapes, sizes and ages of dogs and cats come into my care. I noticed that some dogs walked a bit funny, and some struggled getting up and wondered if there was a way I could study something related.

I went on to study at Moreton Morrell college in which I handled a range of species from Chinchilla’s to Bearded Dragons (even agility training goats!).

Although you might not think Physiotherapy could benefit an exotic creature. I am a firm believer that every animal can be helped! Even if it means coming up with inventive ideas.

I have a fondness for all kinds of livestock and volunteered at my local care farm alongside leading special needs classes, I still pop in from time to time; and am a willing lambing volunteer.

In my spare time I enjoying practising scentwork with my terrier Eddie, performing Pilates and Paddeboarding.
